Port 1031

  • This port is used by BBN IAD(iad2). This is the Bolt, Beranek and Newman Interface Access Device.
  • The Xanadu trojan is a known exploit
  • A process called boil.c is listening on this port
  • Opening the link in a web browser results in a connection terminated message

After making several authenticated connections to Port 5217, it is possible to connect to Port 1031, boil.c accepts offsets and spits out little bits of text. We were able to stitch these bits of text together to download a large binary file from this port that is apparently a dump of the operating system. We've made the file available in two parts (negative offsets and positive offest):
