So I fire up Lucky 5 on my test machine today while toweling dry my hair, and the thing is alive and happily jibber-jabbering away.

http://74.244.69.37/

Is it wrong that I feel happy? If it is going now, that means it probably isn't coming for me in Boston tomorrow, right?

Just to be safe, I'm taking everyone's advice and turning off all of my Windows machines.

Shocked

I guess that's, uh, a black swan??

Anyway, real quick since I can't spend much time exploring right now but it looks like the same directories, etc., are on this machine, including the MUD (Port 4243 - it contains a whole lot of new rooms).

I dont' know if this is good or bad..

Obligatory port scan.
The usual suspects appear.

Code:

Port State Service Product Version Extra info
22 tcp open ssh  OpenSSH  2.5.2p2  protocol 1.99
25 tcp filtered smtp
80 tcp open http  Apache Advanced Extranet Server httpd  1.3.19  mod_ssl/2.8.2 OpenSSL/0.9.6

139 tcp filtered netbios-ssn
443 tcp open ssl  OpenSSL

So, just pointing out that this IP was predicted by the handy Excel calculator:

Code:
8/27/2007    âŒÝ½b      074.244.069.037:5202   Marietta, Georgia
        OrgName:    BellSouth.net Inc.
        OrgID:      BELL
        Address:    575 Morosgo Drive
        City:       Atlanta
        StateProv:  GA
        PostalCode: 30324
        Country:    US

If this is right, then the correct port should be Port 5202 (which is open, according to the port scan). However my attempt to telnet to that port just times out...

I guess it's also worth pointing out that the "Garage" was found today in Atlanta.. Smile

Maybe Mapmaker's friend already found the hard drive and took it away. Then again, I doubt they let you connect your stored goods to the internet. So never mind that then.

Well, if there's WiFi in the area and you can get a connection from inside the unit... It's not entirely impossible.

Did anyone happen to grab copies of the boil or other infection symptoms?
