| Sid - So you talked to them after they made it there? Any word about the situation except for their safe arrival? I thought DC was going to leave a letter for them at the cabin. Had they checked in and found it yet? I'm chewing my fingers over here with worry! |

So i managed to get through to the payphone twice..
1st call i got a hello and a disconnect (male voice).
2nd call no one picked up
3rd call i got a female voice, didn;t get a clear name (right about this time my daughter started screaming and my cell phone started taking a dump on me)
think i verified sentry status of person on other end (in retrospect we should have set up a code like Flash:Thunder for verification)
Informed them of Art's Request...
hung up.
so hopefully they got the right info and i'm not a total douchebag. |

Did I mention that tomorrow is the last day the train even runs?

Glad they're safe. Were safe. Hopefully are still safe, although anything goes at this point.
Damnit, guess the message didn't get through in time. So they didn't give Art a walkie-talkie, at least in time. Did they not even leave someone behind to radio home? Why haven't they stopped to contact us? Damnit, did that weasel DC convince them not to split up for their safety, all the time preventing them from contacting us through walkie talkies and phones like we planned?

If they were on the 11AM train, then yeah, my message went out WAY late to some asshole that said they were a sentry.
fucked up.
fucked way up.
let's hope they stay safe tonight, and come back down the mountain tomorrow..
maybe they can get their phones working up there....

Art drives me crazy, and I'm already pacing the floors in anxiety tonight as it is. I looked at these photos his friend took, but I don't recognize any of those people.
Why didn't I just tell them it was a horrible idea for them to go? Every bone in my body tells me something terrible is going to happen. There's no way I'm going to let myself sleep tonight, maybe not ever again if something happens to them.

Having a team of sentries missing in the middle of god-knows-where, going through god-know-what is about all i can take.
So if you're going to have yourself a breakdown,
have it on fucking tuesday. That's when i've got mine penciled in.
Now, can anyone think of any way to get in touch with them out there? |
