Just to clarify, we aren't quite clear on the relationship between Chorazos and the Council, but Exu seems to be a member of the latter group (an Esoteric??), not Chorazos. |

Not really. I'm trying to figure out why there is one date directly on the map and the blob near C. Doesn't seem consistent.

FYI... I just decided to start reading out Exu's letter and noticed something of interest... he makes the rather cryptic statement that "Most people have a hard enough time making sense of the past 70 years, even when it is all mapped out for them." I was thinking about that for a minute and all the dates we have and I noticed that the earliest date that we have is 70 years ago in 1937... my educated guess tells me that Exu has provided us with a roadmap of the last 70 years of... something... I'm just not quite so sure what yet... although I'm starting to dissect his letter a bit more so that I can figure out what he's referencing... All those dates should be related to things he mentions in the letter... if we can figure those out we should be able to figure out this "roadmap" that he has laid out for us of the past 70 years... so start dissecting!...  ... I know I'm already working on that right now... |

It might just be me, or the EXTREME close up that I have, but the blob near c looks like a pentagon, may have something to do with the pentagon. Which was completed in 1943.

I did the same thing.
Howard, I've been looking for news clips or any information I can garner about Harrisonburg (where the blob is) and the boxed 1958.
Also, I just realized what he's mapping out. Movements or effects of the council for the last 70 years. Remember? The circled letters spelling "Council" The circled letters even have a capitol C in them.

By the by, I was looking at that map and noted that the dotted off square and the 1958 reminded me of something I'd seen a while back. I went looking through my old links that I have saved and found this little tidbit.

Hmm.
Blob C seems to circle Fort AP Hill military reservation.
Point B. looks like Quantico Marine base.
1958 could possibly be the year the Council split into separate groups?

I've finished my first pass through the map. Here are my notes. I've tried my best to associate the Lettered Points to locations (based on comparing Exu's map to Google maps of the areas). It's not super accurate, but neither is the map... So we may be left to our own best guess, there (I tried my best to be accurate; any corrections are welcome). I've also tried to tie the locations to craigslist postings, just to see if BA could shed some light on this. If noting else, it's a first pass at organizing things.

Interesting note about Green Bank, here:
"The observatory contains many other notable telescopes, including three 85 foot telescopes forming an interferometer array, a 40 foot telescope used by school groups and organizations for small scale research, a fixed radio 'horn' built to observe Cygnus X-1..."
"Cygnus X-1 (often abbreviated to Cyg X-1) is an X-ray source in the constellation Cygnus, and considered to be a black hole."
Cygnus is also Latin for Swan.

Damn, you're good.
I looked into the comment about "echoes from the moon," which lead me to this article Radio Echoes From the Moon. Plus Grote Reber was a pioneer in using radio waves for astronomy.
