I don't know what I expected but I thought something major would happen here. Something that we had access to online either last night or the night before. I guess I was wrong. That doesn't surprise me I haven't been on track for any of this -right from the beginning when I thought we needed to find the angel in real life. I didn't understand or wasn't able to decode the Craigslist messages, and looking back at them, I still don't follow them.

I think that the ritual was the end of the beginning. I guess we need to see if Howard and Marie and Art are ok. And if BA bothers to post again...not clear why she would though. I like the touch of the last watercolor piece saying "thanks for visiting"...very classy.

Of course, I could be wrong about this too, see above where I point out that I have been totally off-track the entire time.

The only comforting thought I have is that I don't think there is anything we could have done to save Jen, Bryce, or Kevin. Political Texan we've presumed to be dead based on what Exu said, because he was asking too many questions.StuR...maybe the same? He got too close to the truth? I don't think we could have saved them either.

Good news? I haven't noticed the appearance of Cthulu anywhere.

Any day you can say "The stars have not yet come right and Sunken R'yleh has NOT risen from the depths spreading its foetid ichor across the seas" is a good start, I suppose.

Speculation: In taking the hard drive from the storage unit we interrupted the ritual that was supposed to cause the big nasty thing to happen (when the lunar eclipse occurred). If this is the case, then whoever was conducting this ritual must be none too pleased. Following this line of thinking, it would also stand to reason that said person would want to get the drive back so that he or she can complete the ritual ("as you found it, not as you left it"). Thus it would be wise to, at the very least, eradicate the data on the drive (format it, and overwrite it about a dozen times with traveling 1s and 0s), if not destroy it entirely (preferably with many large magnets and lots of fire and smashing). Were this the case, I'd also be leery of retaining any of the data on the drive (so that the mastermind of this ritual cannot easily pick up the pieces where they left off)... Though, it may already be too late for that. Either way, it may not stop this person... But it will slow them down. I believe the next lunar eclipse will be early evening of Feb 21, 2008; there won't be another one after that for nearly four years.

Alternate Speculation: We have misinterpreted BA's dreams. Perhaps we read them too literally. Whatever was supposed to happen is happening, or has happened, and we just did not, or have not, realized it yet. After all, much has happened (short of cities burning, and the streets flowing with blood and madness), and it will probably take a few for it all to sink in. I often wonder if the madness BA dreams of isn't something far more subtle. I know I'm looking over my shoulder (and checking my sandwiches) much more frequently than I used to.

I don't believe we've heard the last of BA. She said herself: Our fates/destinies are entangled.

I think this is far from over. The information dam has just started to break and the secrets are coming out. We dug too far, know too much (even though it seems like we know so little!) and are now entangled in this whole situation. No turning back.

A lot has happened in the last few days. Art's on the run and he sounds like he's part of a larger, secret organization. We have a lot of friends who were taken from us and we can't just sit back and accept it. We have to find out who did this, why they did it and avenge our friends in whatever way possible.

I've been going over Exu's crazy messages and the Craigslist's and trying to piece stuff together, logically. I think we are going to have to be more open minded about this stuff. I know that magic and logic don't sound like they go hand in hand and we have been turning away from that road due to it's impossibility, but think of magic in symbolic terms for now.
