I can't believe we haven't said this yet.
Sag: is there some way you can rip the entire contents of the HD, send it somewhere FAR THE FUCK AWAY FROM YOU, and then ditch the drive itself?
Everybody who has come to a bad end here has had their computers rifled through, and now you are holding something of theirs.
Share what you find if you want (truthfully, I wouldn't even do that). But for Christ's sakes, GET RID OF THAT DRIVE. |

"You have no idea what you have started, but you will."
The entirety of the file "The Bargain.txt" in a folder created about 9:15PM (an hour or so ago?) on j5's site. The folder was named "Room 858".
Inside were pictures of the inside of the garage, the shipping container; the altar that Sapagoo had visited. j5 can't verify whether the images were uploaded by Sap.
But some of the file names indicate they weren't. "secure the facility immediately.jpg". "the way you found it not the way you left it.jpg". Enough to make me think, at least, that Sap wasn't the uploader. And enough to have j5 turn off all access to his computer.
I got the photos before j5 took down access. I'm going to upload them to the wiki when I can.
Oh, and one more thing. Sap got out of there by 2PM EDT. According to the EXIF data, the photos were taken after that, around 3 or 4. So they couldn't have been on the hard drive for Sap to upload. And he said he didn't have a camera.
Oh, you know what? To whomever wrote "You have no idea what you have started, but you will": bring it. |

I take exception to that. To whoever wrote that sentence: We didn't start this, you did. _________________ "A sword by itself rules nothing. It only comes alive in skilled hands." |

| Pictures are up on the wiki here. Images may make for pain for dial-up users. |

Looking over the pictures, the first thing that sprung to me was that according to the board pass Art left for Atlanta a day before BA gave us location. _________________ WHO IS SAINT FENLINE?

I'd say he had enough info from here and the Lucky5 calculations to at least bracket the destination. |

The thing that interests me is that Homeland Security let him fly with a boarding pass that doesn't match his name... |

Eh, it's just a typo. My mom gets all sorts of problems as she flies under her maiden name but her ID is in her married name, and she gets on the plane. |

Edited in light of Map's post.
It could still be a fake. Set up to frame Art.
Besides...$15 from Boulder to Atlanta?
Is that some frequent flier points or what?

True enough. It is entirely possibly that he flew out to Atlanta based on the Lucky5 and the earlier garage info, waited until the later information was posted and got in then, well before Sapagoo did. Wasn't nice of him not share with us this plan, but it's not nice is a way that's entirely consistant with my limited experience with him.

And he got such a bargain for a flight booked on such a short notice! It could be fake, to throw suspicion towards Art and away from the real culprits. Faking boarding passes is certainly something people can do. _________________ WHO IS SAINT FENLINE?

Looks like some group underwent a ritual in the garage where they symbolically sacrificed a computer by pulling it’s heart (hard drive) out. Hate to bring the mumbo jumbo into this, but is this more of Exu's 'Symbolic Magic'?
Plus, this is what BA witnessed in the garage. Is she talking about Art? What did he take before 'they' found it? If the 'they' is the ritual group they must know where everything in that garage is since they set it all up. She can't mean the hard drive, right? I know she takes her bag in this post, but later she's missing it. Did Art get her bag? Is she shocked about 'they' or Art leaving the drive.
More questions. More true predictions, and the added jumbling of past, present and future. I wonder if Art got out of there alive (if he was even there), and if he did I can't wait to scream at him for keeping this secret. Sentries, stop with the secrets already. It's not helping. |

Whoever uploaded these pictures obviously knows something about the ritual. Just looking at some of the names makes me wonder. Especially the monks:
Flash - The Ritual
Blockhead Monk
Overachieving Monk
Prudent Monk
Now who would know which monk was which, unless they witnessed the ritual? |

I have a sinking suspicion I know whose computers those are.

Well, in light of Art's letter, I'm gonna move into the "let's destroy the drive good and hard" camp. I downloaded a copy of the drive (from the link on the wiki page) and some other people should do that as well so we can be good and sure that we don't miss anything. Then destroy it - here's five ways!
Although maybe it'd be a good idea to take it apart - maybe there's something interesting inside it? _________________ WHO IS SAINT FENLINE?

Do we really think there is anything special about THAT hard drive though? What's to stop them from coming here, downloading the information, and making a new hard drive?
It's possible we've already "given it back" to them. _________________ "Mayhem achieved, boredom relieved” - Bruce McCall |
