Bryce, haven't seen you up on Skype or IM all day and you stopped responding to my emails. Hopefully you're just finally sleeping. I didn't understand what you were trying to explain to me last night, man. You actually kind of worried me a little bit, you seemed so intensely frustrated that I wasn't getting it. _________________ "Perhaps a longer stick is in order." - Unknown Quantity |

Although as far as I've seen posted, we haven't had flocks of doves in the physical world, so I don't think anyone needs to fear any strange, slow, persistant knocks at the door in the middle of the night, yet. |

Have you heard from him since you wrote this?
I left an email a couple hours ago and nothing. I just tried calling and he didn't pick up. Hopefully he just went outside for some vitamin d but I must admit that I'm a bit worried after reading the LA craigslist post

No, I haven't. Was hoping there would be a response from him here at least that you would have heard from him _________________ "Perhaps a longer stick is in order." - Unknown Quantity |

Hmm, my initial response was maybe he just popped out or was very busy, but it does seem to be getting a little worrying now.
Im sure its nothing and hes enjoying himself somewhere, but I'm just wondering, what was he saying to you last night Howard, if you dont mind me asking? Its just you seemed a little unnerved by it.
Does anyone live near him that could possibley check up on him in a non-stalker-like-way?!! |

That's not the answer I was looking for Howard
The more I think about it, the more I think this is a good thing. He's obviously away from the computer. He needed a break. You can tell that just from reading his last few messages. Now he's taking one. He's going to come back with a clear head and laugh and laugh at us

Any word yet? Gone for a week to only come back to find one of us possibly missing? I'm getting freaked out.

I hope you're right. Maybe he finally passed out after his last post at 5AM and got some much needed sleep. His last few days of posts are really frenzied. Is it very uncommon for him to be offline for this long? It's not even a full day yet so I wouldn't worry much, but I don't know Bryce's internet habits. If he's the type who's always connected, it could be really weird. |

'kay. Just checking to make sure Cthulhu hadn't sucked out the meaty part of my brain (the part that deals with problem solving and memory and such) and left me with just the bits that allow conspiracy theories and random arm flailing . . .

Anyhoo . . . I hope The Magician is okay. He seems to require some sleep or some crazy pills (the kind that help with crazy, not the ones that make you more crazy ). Write back when you wake up, The Magician! Thanks for calming us down, Mkaos! I'm sure it's just a fairly simple explaination (hopefully with no crazy or Lawnmower Men involved). _________________ If MUDs had reality altering powers we'd be tits deep in elves by now.

I have an update. Bryce is ok but he's had a bit of a breakdown and he's in a little bit of trouble. I just had a visit by the police that I'm not sure what to make of. They're making it sound really bad, but I'm sure it's just to prepare me for the worst.
Details are slim. I'm still not certain as to why they contacted me. They said something about a message in his office to warn me, I don't know. And they came to me to find out if I was ok, what I knew of the situation, and if I had contact information for someone in his family. (I don't. Do you Howard? Jen?)
I've decided to head down there until we can find his family. If they beat me there, that's fine. I just don't want him going through this alone. When I told them that I would go down there, they seemed shocked and a bit worried for my safety. That's when the vibe became very negative. I don't know if it was to persuade me to not go. I just don't know. But they said that I wouldn't want to go into his apartment and, apparently, when they found him (outside his place?) he was covered in blood - most of it not his and some of it might not be human. It all just sounds awful.
That's everything that I've mentally processed at this point, I don't know if they told me more. As soon as I know anything else, I'll spread the word somehow. If you're inclined to pray or send vibes, please direct some good positive energy towards him. I think he really needs it.
I'm going to try and catch the 6:30 direct, I know that I'm not going to make it (especially if the shuttle doesn't get here soon I should have done a cab I don't know what I was thinking), but I'm going to try. Wish me luck and keep Bryce in your thoughts. Please. _________________ One man gathers what another man spills. |

Holy crap.
Right now I'm terrified that BA's last LA post was more than a dream. These 'dreams' have been slowly melting into the real world and if people are starting to get hurt we're heading in a whole other dangerous direction. Yes that's tin foily, but I'm getting some really bad vibes from all this. I just hope Bryce is all right and not in trouble in any way.

Please be super careful and try to do whatever you can to help Bryce. I hope they let you see him. Sending the good juju out to both of you. Please let us know what's going as soon as you can! |

Not all of the blood was his and not all was human?!?
I'm sorry, but it starting to look less like he need help and more like we should start treating him with caution. To me that seems like he's taken the whole ritualistic magic one step too far. _________________ Watch for the stars and fear the day when they announce their return. |

I certainly hope that Bryce is okay!
Marie, if you make it there, though, and get the chance, maybe you could take a picture of his whiteboard? It might help to figure out whatever it was that he's been working on so obsessively... |

Oh my god. I.. I am just speechless. I wish I had words to express my thoughts right now beyond "oh my god" but I don't. I just... Oh my god.
I really hope Bryce is okay. And that you're okay, too, Marie. You two have been the brick and mortar of this place for so long, I can't imagine it without either of you. Please be careful! I wish I had some information for you about Bryce's family info, but I don't I never thought it possible that we'd need emergency contact info (maybe we should add that to the registration page for the forums. Oh my god. Why am I even thinking about that. What the hell. I'm just blathering. *smacks head*)
Please call me and/or check in here when you get down there, M. *hugs* I love you guys! _________________ The brain has corridors surpassing material place |
